Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and Singer (born in New York City on the 22nd of November 1984) - Her versatility as an actress has brought her much acclaim, from dramas of the past, to thrillers and even adventures. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an father, an architect, and mother who produced. Hunter is her twin sister, was born in the City of New York. Her interest began in acting at a young age, and began auditioning for commercials at the age of seven. To enhance her skills, she attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan and then the Professional Children's School. In the Off-Broadway production Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then had her first appearance in a film with North (1994) and was directed by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson later appeared as a character in Just Cause (1995) but her first breakthrough came with Manny & Lo (1996) an upcoming film that follows abandoned sisters who escape. For The Horse Whisperer, Johansson played a teenage victim of an incredibly tragic accident. Her role in Ghost World brought her more notoriety as the infamous teenager Rebecca. She also worked in other productions across the USA, while Wildflower was her debut on stage performance. Her education was at The Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
